Welcome to the official website for the sophisticated, service-oriented Decatur Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. It is with esteemed honor that I serve as President of the Decatur Alumnae Chapter, as we celebrate our golden year and anniversary of our chapter’s chartering on October 5, 1973. The more than 500 active members who call the Decatur Alumnae Chapter home are excited to celebrate fifty years of sisterhood, scholarship and service.
In this new biennium, we will broaden our service to the community by continuing to provide programming and events centered on and around our beloved Sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
• Economic Development
• Educational Development
• International Awareness and Involvement
• Physical and Mental Health
• Political Awareness and Involvement
For fifty years, the members of the Decatur Alumnae Chapter have enhanced and transformed the lives of those we support and partner within our service area. As an award-winning chapter, we take great pride in leveraging our strength to uphold the legacy of our Founders by enlarging our community footprint while providing stellar programs and always striving to increase our educational outreach and scholarship offerings. We embody service to our community and exemplify the ideals of sisterhood to those we meet.
