In recognition of Second Chance Month in April, we are partnering with DeKalb County and community organizations to offer a clinic assisting citizens who want to restrict their arrest records. Record restriction, formerly known as expungement, shields old arrest information from public view and can improve opportunities for housing, jobs, and financial credit.

Applications are required by March 31 at bit.ly/DeKalbRecordRestriction.

In order to qualify, an applicant must have been arrested by the DeKalb County Police Department or the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

The record restriction clinic will take place Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Goodwill of North Georgia at 2201 Lawrenceville Highway, Decatur, GA 30033. The event will also include an on-site job and resources fair.
